  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger, minced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon of fennel powder
  • 1 teaspoon of dried chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt, or to taste
  • 3 tablespoons of cooking oil

Instructions

Let's cook the Hati Lembu Berempah, shall we?

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add in the minced garlic, ginger, and sliced onion. Cook until fragrant and the onion is softened, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add in the sliced beef liver and stir-fry until it changes color and is almost cooked, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add in the turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, fennel powder, dried chili flakes, and salt. Stir well to combine all the spices with the beef liver.
  5. Cook until the beef liver is cooked through and the spices are well incorporated, about 2-3 minutes more.
  6. Remove from heat and serve hot with steamed rice or your favorite bread. Enjoy!
